Q. What is the maximum number of guests that you can accommodate?

A. The Scrap Shack can accommodate up to 12 guests - both individuals and groups are welcome. Each guest is provided with a twin bed, as well as their own table for cropping. See Accomodations & Amenities for detailed information.

Q. What are the check-in / check-out times?

A. For weekend retreats, check-in is 3:00pm on Friday, and check-out is 3:00pm on Sunday.

Q. Is The Scrap Shack only open on weekends?

A. The Scrap Shack is available to rent on weeknights, as well. Overnight guests pay just $54.95 plus tax, per night. Catering is additional, and must be arranged in advance. For $34.95 plus tax, consultants can hold Creative Memories and Stampin' Up! workshops for 2 to 3 hours in the evening. See Pricing & Packages for more information.

Q. Is The Scrap Shack available for scrapbooking retreats only?

A. No. Even though the tools we furnish are generally used for scrapbooking, the cropping room, with its large tables and comfortable chairs, is perfect for all kinds of crafting…including quilting, beading, knitting, stamping, etc. The space is great for any kind of group retreat (i.e. church groups.)

Q. Do you have a computer and printer?

A. Yes. We have a computer, loaded with scrapbooking software and fonts, as well as high speed internet access. Bring the memory card from your digital camera and print your photos any time you want.

Q. Do you supply any scrapbooking tools?

A. Lots! See Accommodations & Amenities for a complete list.

Q. Do you have a TV?

A. Yes. There is a tv with basic cable service in the living area, as well as a DVD player with a selection of movies ("chick flicks"), and you are welcome to bring your own.

Q. Are we required to order catering?

A. No. We offer two different weekend retreat packages – one with catering, and one without. You are welcome to bring your own food, and the fully equipped kitchen is available for use in preparing your own meals. (See Accomodations & Amenities for detailed information.) Meals can be prepared in advance and brought from home; the microwave and oven can be used for re-heating them. There are also several restaurants and fast food drive-thrus in the area. (See Local Information.)

Q. What if my group wants to stay an extra night?

A. You have the option of adding additional nights to the beginning or end of your retreat, provided space is available. Advance registration for additional nights is preferred, but we will do our best to accommodate last-minute requests. Each guest will pay a flat rate, in advance, for each additional night, as listed under Pricing & Packages.
